Le Mans – Highcroft/Rahal Strike @ RA

The American Le Mans series had the spotlight all to themselves this weekend at Road America. All be it a rather dry and boring season, we had some hope with the GT2 class and a potential surprise in LMP 2 to look forward to. Highcroft Racing was able to take the victory and end a rather impressive streak for opposing Acura team De Ferran Racing. An early caution stop for De Ferran let the Highcroft machine charge ahead. Through the natural cycle of stops an dcautions however, both Acura P1…

IndyCar – Sonoma Test

The teams from the IndyCar series are enjoying a break in the action this weekend, but next week it is off to Sonoma for the last road course of the year. This past week saw the teams test at Sonoma in preparation and Mike Conway was the man to beat. Conway who drives for Dreyer & Reinbold set a lap of 1m17.48s. Sadly, there’s not much competition in the ALMS this year with the absence of Audi LMP1 cars and the Porsche RS Spyder LMP2 cars. Now, the Acura LMP1 and LMP2 factory efforts are running away from what privateers remain. Gil De Ferran and Simon Pagenaud easily took the overall victory, …again, and trail the Patrón Highcroft Racing…

F1 – Schumacher Cancels Return

Michael Schumacher has decided to cancel his return to Formula 1 after neck injuries suffered in a motorcycle accident earlier this year still existed. Schumacher had posted a quote on his website indicating he did everything medically possible, but will not be ready in time for the stresses a Formula 1 car puts on the body. This is a huge blow to the team and will nearly guarantee that they will not win a race this year. Instead Luca Badoer will fill in for Massa. Luca has not been in…
