Chris Greenhouse Impresses at Rallye de Charlevoix, takes the win in 2WD

Our good friend Chris Greenhouse just sent us this press release from one of Canada’s signature rallies, the Rallye de Charlevoix.  Racing against many more experienced local drivers, Chris and co-driver Ryan Scott not only won the 2wd class, but also finished 3rd overall.  It’s great to see Chris do so well after his unfortunately disappointing result at the Yorkshire Rally in the UK a month ago.  It’s also great to see his SRT Neon running as fast and reliable as it is now too.  Congrats Chris and Scott!  If you…

Rally Photographers – A Passion That Endures All Conditions

Before I post up the official Open Paddock review from the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood, I wanted to say a little something about our good friend and photographer Doug Patterson and the other photographers at the event.  This weekend Doug, and many other media “photogs” drove many hours in icy conditions to then freeze their butts off (actually I think it is their hands that suffer the most) standing for many hours in the middle of the forests to capture the images that describe the action and atmosphere better…

Day 1 – 2015 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood

The best description I’ve heard of the 2015 Rally in the 100 Acre Wood with its varying conditions and grip levels was a gravel version of Rally Monte Carlo.  Monte Carlo is well known for on a single stage for drives to go from dry pavement to ice to snow and back to try pavement again.  At the Rally in the 100 Acre Wood it isn’t much different.   Tire choice was critical as up and down the paddock teams were saying that at some points they would have really good grip from frozen gravel, but…

RALLY – NASA Rally Sport Announces Affordable Testing Program

I have to say that NASA Rally Sport has been extremely innovative the past few years.  From adding “Rally Moto” and experimenting UTVs to timing and scoring using jailbroken Nook tablets.  Not every idea works out, but some things just make logical sense and today’s press release is one of those ideas that makes sense.  Usually only top teams can afford to shut down a section of road and do proper testing, however NASA Rally Sport’s grassroots mantra is all about being inclusive.     Newberry, MI (January 29, 2015)The mantra…

Harrisville, New York (October 26, 2014) The woods of Upstate New York played host to two days of intense rally action last month.
