F1 – Raikkonen and Buemi Rumor Mill

While we thought that the extension of Massa and Webber would put a stop to big movers and shakers this silly season, that has not stopped some other names from picking up the slack. While Kimi Raikkonen has been the subject of a number of F1 seats since his departure, Sebastian Buemi has only been linked with his seat and its defense but now finds himself the subject of perhaps a Red Bull Racing seat. Raikkonen has been linked to Renault once before after being released by Ferrari. Rumor has…

Rally Turkey would be the first mixed surface rally of the year and many drivers have called the event tough. To further the difficulty, none of the drivers would have pace notes going into the event. The event has also seen the return of Ken Block and his Monster Energy/DC Ford Focus. After a very impressive run in Mexico, the pressure would be on to perform in Turkey as Ken continued to fact find ahead of next year’s championship. The day would come to a very early end however. We have to establish one thing up front and in the clear, Kimi Raikkonen will have no implication in the 2010 WRC title if he gets this deal. I know I know…Shaun, how do you…

F1 – Kimi Out for 2010

Since Ferrari officially announced that Fernando Alonso would be racing for them in 2010, Kimi Raikkonen has been at the center of the driver market “fault line” that is set to completely reshape F1 next season. Speculation had him driving for the Woking based McLaren squad whom he had previous success. Instead, Kimi has chose that he will do nothing in 2010 outside of maybe making a couple more appearances in the ape suit. The 2007 Finnish world champion will take a sabbatical from Formula 1 racing during 2010 after…

Now that the real part of the F1 season has ended, the real part of the offseason can continue. Silly season has already seen Alonso to Ferrari, and Kimi to the curb. Toyota however have mad an offer to the former Ferrari ace as they continue to look for success in the sport. This deal may be the best they have ever offered and may lend them that first victory. As me and Mike stated a couple weeks ago, Kimi to Toyota would be a potentially great combo for both…
