IndyCar – Tuesday Talk

Tuesday Talk is a new segment featuring random news and notes from the world of IndyCar. All opinions expressed are mine, meaning they are inherently correct. All signs point to Alex Tagliani being out at Bryan Herta Autosport. Even though the entry list for Mid-Ohio hasn’t been released yet, looks for Luca Filippi in the #98 Barracuda Networks ride. Tag started the season with a 10th at St. Pete and 11th at Barber, but has only managed one Top Ten finish over the balance of the season. Over a seven…

IndyCar-Post Race Party: The Drivers Own Words

Exclusive statements from drivers taken post race at the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama IndyCar event. Tristan Vautier #55 Schmidt Peterson Racing  Honda “It’s a little disappointing to finish tenth when you start third and run second but we showed good pace today. As a decision by the team, we did many changes between qualifying and the race to try and save the tires, but it didn’t work out that well, so it’s a good lesson to remember for next time. INDYCAR – SSM Engineer Leaves for Andretti

Curt Cavin reported yesterday that Alex Tagliani’s race engineer Allen McDonald had left his current SSM operation in favor of a return to Andretti Autosport. McDonald has a history with Andretti including winning the Indianapolis 500 in 2007 with Dario Franchitti. The fact of the matter is while I respect the hell out of Sam Schmidt, he does not really have any room…

Our thoughts and prayers certainly went out to Tags yesterday, as they continue to do today, but this…

The track is the home of some of the closest finishes and most exciting racing in the history of IndyCar racing under Indy Racing League sanction. However, the event in recent years has been poorly promoted, and as a result its been poorly attended. Estimates…

FAZZT – Hinch for some races? Tracy –…
