This weekend will kick off the 2010 Rally America National Championship and there are some amazing changes that happened in the off season that promises to make not only the Sno* Drift Rally amazing, but the Rally America series as a whole. The general consensus amongst the three of us here at Openpaddock is that the Grand-Am series is junk, a glorified version of NASCAR. Up to this point, we have not heard anything from Force India as to the date they will have their public car launch, even though we have known for quite some time that they will be hitting the track at Jerez for the first time on February 10th.  According to a team spokesman, the VJM03 will also be unveiled to the public on the same day. Torro Rosso and Red Bull have both announced that their car launch will be held on track. STR will start testing on February 1st in Valencia at the Ricardo Tomo Circuit with the majority of the other teams. We are just a few steps away from having a complete driver grid for 2010. Jose Maria Lopez was confirmed yesterday as a driver for USF1. But while most driver announcements are fairly low key affairs, that is not the case with Lopez.
