Rally – Loeb and Ogier Extend @ Citroen

Citroen look set to dominate the WRC for at least another three years as they have resigned Sebatian Loeb and phenom Sebastian Ogier. We can only hope that the new cars upset the balance as Citroen now have THE driver lineup that every Ford fan cringes at (including this one).

It was thought that a small chance existed that Ford would be able to shanghai the Frenchman Ogier, but it took next to no time for the phenom to make up his mind. Ogier will replace Sordo next season on a full time basis as Loeb’s teammate.

Here I thought the works squad was going to run three cars…

Well it is not completely out of the question as Citroen continues to negotiate Dani Sordo’s contract. The current number two is looking to resign as well but to what capacity is not yet known. Sordo may be relegated to junior squad next season to team up with Kimi Raikkonen who looks like he will be staying for yet another season with the Junior squad. So just like that, the silly season is over and we move on. Time to turn our efforts to MINI/Prodrive!
