Barber Motorsports park has released attendance figures for their first day of open testing with the Indy Lights in their ongoing campaign for inclusion on the 2010 IndyCar calendar. 7,600 people showed up to watch the IndyLights test on Saturday.
7,600! That’s about as many people that attended last season’s opener at Homestead…. (OK at least it looked like 7,600 at Homestead)
Sunday will kick off IndyCar series testing which will last through the end of the day on Monday. Attendance on Sunday is expected to top 10,000.
