Rally – Oregon Trail Preview

The Rally America series blazes the Oregon Trail this weekend for the fourth round of the championship. Competition will open later today as the battle for the national championship blazes on. The top of the standings are close with Andrew Comrie-Picard with a slender 3 point lead over Tanner Foust and Travis Pastrana. The rally will bring about over 100 miles of twisty road. Rally- Pastrana Takes Olympus

It what proved to be an amazing race weekend, Travis Pastrana has taken the Olympus Rally in Aberdeen Washington. After day 1 it looked like teammate Ken Block was the man to beat, however a turbo failure early in day 2 all but ended his chances. Andrew Comrie-Picard and his NOS energy Evolution took the runner up position. This is a great boost for his title chances as he separates himself from Tanner Foust. Olympus Day 1: Block Leads

The first day of competition is in the book for Rally America’s Olympus Rally. Round 3 traces through the rugged Washington forest and forces all drivers to use their full range of skills. Ken Block used his skills in day one’s flat out stages to take a twenty second lead. Block though early in the morning that the car was tooand perhaps there was a problem.
