Preview: Sno*Drift Rally

Rally America is about to kick things off tomorrow with their opening round, the Sno*Drift Rally based in Atlanta, Michigan.  Last year we saw ice covered snow, where slow controlled driving was the winner of the day.  However this year there is a large snow storm that just passed through and firm packed snow will be the order of the day.  This is good, because at Sno*Drift, they aren’t allowed to use studs.  They are limited to studless winter tires at best.   In anticipation of the season opener, the…

November 23rd and 24th will bring the noise of turbo charged four wheel drive madness to the forests northeast of Toronto for the Rally of the Tall Pines.  This two day event consists of large jumps and high speeds that many compare to the famous stages in Finland.  The Tall Pines Rally is the final round of the Canadian Rally Championship and the last event in the North American Cup. Rally America – Slippin’ ‘n’ Slidin’ at Sno*Drift

The first of six rounds for the Rally America National Championship is in the books, and wow was it a great rally! The conditions near Atlanta, MI in the upper portion of the lower peninsula were treacherous!
