SCCA – Photos from a Packed Weekend for the Kansas City Region

Tire Rack SCCA Starting Line

This past weekend, the Kansas City Region of the SCCA hosted two fantastic events. On Saturday, the Tire Rack SCCA Starting Line driving school where students learned car control skills and autocross racing techniques from a variety of SCCA Solo National champions. It was a wet and wild day where students were thrown into the deep end to sink or swim, literally! Our SCCA Solo reporter, Jeremy Salenius was there to capture some of the action.

Kansas City Region SCCA Solo Event #5

On Sunday, students from the Starting Line school got to put their newly acquired skills to use in the region’s Solo Event #5. The rain had past, although the clouds stuck around for the majority of the day. The KCR Solo program has shown good growth this season, and Event 5 lured 113 drivers to pit their skills against a very fast and flowing course designed by Jeff Bartz. Jeremy will have an event summary later in the week, including a run down of the incredible battle for the G-Street class win. In the meantime, here are the photos of the event from me and Jeremy.
