It’s been said often enough by those of us on Twitter, but the best way to encourage sponsors to continue to fund and support the sport we love is to give those sponsors our custom and let them know what we appreciate their involvement. If you’re a fan of IndyCar and especially of Ed Carpenter Racing, then you have a special opportunity to personally meet and thank one of the big supporters of the IZOD IndyCar Series, Fuzzy Zoeller. He and Ed Carpenter have been visiting various local liquor grocery stores that sell Fuzzy’s Vodka, sponsor of Ed Carpenter Racing’s #20 machine. This evening Fuzzy was at Crown Liquor at 106th and Michigan on the north side of Indianapolis where he was personally autographing bottles of Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka. In addition to obtaining a great souvenir for myself, I also took the opportunity to thank him for his support of Ed Carpenter Racing and the IZOD IndyCar Series. Given the fact that many teams and drivers are still struggling financially, it’s important to support those who support us. You can show your support later this week as Fuzzy continues to make the rounds around the Indianapolis metropolitan area. Tomorrow (Wednesday, May 23rd) Fuzzy will be signing bottles at the Kroger at 79th and Fall Creek from 3:00pm to 4:00pm, and then at 21st Amendment at 71st and Binford from 5:00pm to 6:30pm with Ed Carpenter. You can learn about other autograph sessions at Fuzzy’s Ultra Premium Vodka Facebook page. Be sure to follow them and Ed Carpenter Racing on twitter at @FuzzysVodka and @ECRIndy, respectively.
