Well, re-ups for at least the season opener in St. Petersburg, FL on March 27th. Miller has contested the full 2010 season in the Star Mazda Championship with JDC Motorsports, scoring five top-ten finishes, and finished the season tied for tenth in points with fellow rookie Tatiana Calderon of Juncos MotorSports.
“We are very privileged to continue our long association with Chris Miller and the Miller Milling Company. Chris is a class act and always brings a positive attitude. We look forward to building on Chris’s rookie season and bringing him his first win in Star Mazda.” — John Church, JDC MotorSports Team Principal
The hope is that more races can be found for Miller to run, although it seems likely that the program will still fall short of the full-time deal. Miller is taking the time to work on his goal of earning a law degree after he graduates from the University of Minnesota, where he’s currently enrolled.
“I’m excited to be back with JDC to build on what we did last year. Although I’m not running the full season, I am confident we can achieve some good results. JDC is the premier team in the the Star Mazda Championship and I am glad we could put something together.” — Chris Miller
Although we wish we’d see more of Mr. Miller on the track this year, as a teacher, I completely respect and support his decision to pursue and complete his educational goals.
