Day 1 in Italy has come to a close and as usual there were heavy tactics in play amongst the front runners. Jari Mati-Latvala has opened a 40 second lead over teammate Mikko Hirvonen and has 42 seconds over Sebastian Loeb who is currently 3rd. Sebastian Loeb has won the first five rounds of this years WRC World Championship andthere are no indications that things will change this weekend. Rally – Sordo Looks to Elevate

For the last year and a half the story has been Mikko Hirvonen battling and coming up short more times than not to 5 time champion Sebastian Loeb. Rally Argentina Wrap Up

Yesterday was the end of the Rally of Argentina and as usual the attrition numbers were high. On Day 2 we lost Mikko Hirvonen to overheating and day 3 saw its fair share of retirements. Jari Matti Latvala retired late in the day as did Petter Solberg. Both drivers had fuel pressure issues after a jump on course damaged the system. Day 1 of Rally Argentina is in the books for the WRC and thus far Dani Sordo has taken a slight 5 second lead over Ford driver Mikko Hirvonen. In what was a very impressive drive, Sebastian Loeb has went 4 for 4 this year and is a real threat to win every event on the calendar.
