TV – Weekend racing schedule for Aug 21 and 22.

Formula 1 is still on holiday, but the ALMS is back and at Road America! That should a great event! The IZOD IndyCar Series also returns to the track, but at Sonoma. Personally, I’d love to drive this track or even watch a race there in person, but let’s be honest; its not produced the greatest racing in the world. Unfortunately, MotoGP is also in an off-week, so there’s not much other than IndyCar and ALMS on this weekend, and of course Murphy’s Law being what it is, they two race broadcasts overlap. …figures. The USF2000 National Championship and the Star Mazda Championship are both at Road America with the ALMS series this weekend, but unfortunately they will not be featured on HDNet as they were at the New Jersey Motorsports Park and Autobahn Country Club. You can follow these races via live timing and scoring, but no video for us. Bummer. You can watch the Firestone Indy Lights race live online, but the race begins at 1200 PDT, which places it right at 1500 EDT and at the same time as the ALMS race. What can I say? Sit in front of your TV with your laptop! We’re supposed to be a bunch of multitaskers after all. The WRC and SCCA World Challenge are also racing this weekend, but those races are going to be broadcast on weekends to come. Again, there’s T&S, but nothing on TV.

  2. road america…. not atlanta…..

might actually watch this one. the mid ohio race was pretty entertaining.

  3. Crap. Yea, I keep making that transposition. šŸ™ Missed the correction in the table initially, but its fixed now. The Road America race was really good last year, at least in the GT class. Should be good again this year.
