Ryan Hunter-Reay

Two of the slots were listed as TBA on initial release of the list.  However, Vision Racing threw up the the above teaser image today.  Shortly afterward they officially announced the “TBA” would be Ryan Hunter-Reay with a full season effort.  And while this is no big surprise as this has been leaked all over the IndyCar media the last few days, it is interesting to note that the side of the car does not have a primary sponsor as of yet. Once again, Tony George has had to step in and subsidize, which is something that he has been trying to get away from… well that is if you disregard the free engines and tubs that were provided to the CCWS transition teems last season.

As for Conquest racing, scuttlebutt places Alex Taglianni in the car.  Tags has been working an angle with some business people in Edmonton and was hoping to announce something for Long Beach onward.  We will wait to see what ends up on his sidepods.  Remember that Jaime Camarra ran for Conquest in preseason testing, so I would still look for Jaime to show up with the team later in the season. At least at Indy.

As for possible further additions, Dreyer and Reinbold has preparred a second car for St. Petersburg and rumors place Tomas Scheckter or Milka Duno in that seat for the weekend. Further rumors say that Milka may not have any sponsorship money at all, so this ride is likely going to Tomas, which can only be a good thing for the series to rid themselves of both Milka and Marty Roth in the same offseason.
