INDYCAR – SSM Engineer Leaves for Andretti

Curt Cavin reported yesterday that Alex Tagliani’s race engineer Allen McDonald had left his current SSM operation in favor of a return to Andretti Autosport. McDonald has a history with Andretti including winning the Indianapolis 500 in 2007 with Dario Franchitti. Back at the end of August the FAZZT racing team announced their intention to compete full time next year in the IndyCar series with Alex Taglianni their driver. IndyCar – Updated Indy 500 Entrant List

New addition to the Indy 500 entrants list. Released today was Alex Tagliani’s official signing with Conquest Racing for the Indy 500. Alex will pilot the number 34. This will be Tagliani’s first attempt at the 500 and he will be required to take part in rookie orientation. Orientation begins tomorrow and continues through the 6th of May.
