Rally – Not So Fast Kimi…
What is proving to be difficult is actually finding where Kimi Raikkonen will land for 2011. Earlier this week we had mentioned that a switch to Monster World Rally was all but certain after Finnish media indicated talk between Red Bull and Kimi had broken down. However, Autosport is now said that high level sources within Citroen say a deal should be done shortly keeping the 2007 F1 champ in a junior car. The report indicates that both parties involved... The wild card out of this potential deal is the fact we may even see Kimi in NASCAR! We have known for sometime that Citroen was probably only fielding four cars in the 2011 championship.... Rally – FiA Shuts Block Down
Ken Block has brought his American arrogance to the WRC and today he was told to stop…well sort of. The highly popular Gymkahna 3 part 2 video has a segway vehicle that has a bumper sticker on it. On the sticker it says “Obama can’t Gymkhana”. There is nothing derogatory about it but it is funny! That sticker happened to make it onto the very bottom of Ken Block’s Ford Focus WRC and the FIA was not impressed. Block was... [Read More...]
Rally – Kimi DNFs Spain Before it Starts
Kimi Raikkonen has put on a rather embarrassing performance in Spain already. The Finn has crashed out of the rally during the shakedown stage and will not make the start for Day 1. Citroen explained that the roll cage had suffered terminal damage and would not be ready in time to start the event. In my opinion this is yet another pathetic showing in a year that Kimi will want to forget period. Citroen have made it very clear they will not pay Kimi... [Read More...]
Rally – Monster Offers Kimi
Kimi Raikkonen has been all the rage over the last couple of weeks. Is he staying in the WRC or heading back to Formula 1 to race for Renault? The 2007 Formula 1 World Champion has had a rough debut in his rookie WRC season, but many teams see Kimi as a potential regular points scorer and the Monster World Rally team has step forward. Along with the Citroen Junior squad, reports have Kimi getting offers from MINI and potentially Renault F1. However... [Read More...]
