The Indianapolis Motor Speedway, having recently sacked its entire online media division, just hired a new CIO, Rhonda Winter. Ms. Winter has been around the Indianapolis area for a while working for the NCAA, Indianapolis Museum of Art (check their website! very cool, and not white text on black background!), and most recently with CIK Enterprises (whose web presence also does not suck). Race day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway for the 2nd running of the Red Bull Indianapolis Grand Prix, the twelfth stop on the MotoGP schedule. The Indy Lights series hit the track from 8am-2pm yesterday at 16th and Georgetown for an open test. 21 cars took to the square oval in preparation for the Freedom 100 race which will take place on Carb Day, Friday, May 22nd. Since on track time is at a premium over the next two weeks, they will only have two more short practice sessions on May 21st before they tackle qualifying later that day.
