F1 – Thoughts on Malaysia GP

It has been told to me a number of times that the third race is usually the first “actual” race of the season. A time where we start to see clearly where the teams stack up against each other. Sepang would be this third race and I was able to pull away some interesting ideas while also gathering a clear understanding of who the real contenders would be. Red Bull Racing used this weekend to put on yet another clinic. This time they were able to get the job done.…

F1 – Bahrain Quali Results

While yesterday marked the first day in which cars took to the track for the 2010 FiA Formula 1 World Championship, today was the first day where we actually got to see who had what in terms of outright performance. Qualifying for the Bahrain Grand Prix was some of the most exciting action I had seen in terms of grid position in some time. F1 – Donnington in Doubt

Officials from Donnington have yet again missed another deadline set by Formula 1 supremo Bernie Ecclestone. This is yet another deadline that has shown Simon Gillett’s inability to secure financing for the track modifications to host next year’s British Grand Prix. Bernie expressed doubt and indicated that even if the money is delivered this weekend, there would not be enough time for the track to prepare for next year’s event. Traditionally held at Silverstone, the race looked set to move to the Leicestershire track. However, due to continued missed deadlines…

F1 – Grand Prix of Europe

With seven events left on the 2009 Formula 1 schedule, the teams were in Valencia this weekend for the Grand Prix of Europe. Alonso would have ground to make up during the race as he would slot in at eighth on the grid. The McLaren’s kept up there quick pace and would start the race from the front…

F1 – Canada Perhaps in 2010

As I was searching through the usual sites for news this morning a story on Speedtv.com caught my eye, and it would appear that the Canadian government may be making a bid to host F1 yet again in 2010. As we remember the grand prix was cancelled this year due to lack of funding. Bernie set the price mark way too high for a sub par product. The one problem in the whole mess was the fact that the North American leg of the calendar had been taken away completely.…

F1 – German Grand Prix Review

The FIA’s mobile circus went to Germany this week with talk of Nazis, scandal, and of course a breakaway series in the works. Since we don’t really care about any of those things, we will focus on the grand prix that took place instead. Besides, if we wanted to talk about wannabe politicians and failed statesman, we could watch Fox News coverage of the Republican party. As we discussed in the preview, the race was pivotal for the championship and a moment when we could see teams stop work on…
