US rally fans, myself included, often complain about the lack of media coverage at stage rally events. In the Rally America Championship we’ve seen it go from the well funded days of a satellite truck with live video and interviews to waiting multiple hours for times to get posted and maybe the occasional Facebook post. There have been some recent

Our good friend Chris Greenhouse just sent us this press release from one of Canada’s signature rallies, the Rallye de Charlevoix. Racing against many more experienced local drivers, Chris and co-driver Ryan Scott not only won the 2wd class, but also finished 3rd overall. It’s great to see Chris do so well after his unfortunately disappointing result at the Yorkshire Rally
After a dominant performance at the NASA Rally Sport Sandblast Rally in South Carolina earlier this year, Chris Greenhouse went up to the Great White North to compete in Rallye Baie des Chaleurs, round 3 of the Canadian Rally Championship. Below is the press release form his latest win. Greenhouse unstoppable at Rallye Baie des Chaleurs, wins 2-wheel-drive
Unlike most other forms of motorsports, rally racing is already in full swing for the 2015 season. There is no need to wait for good weather as difficult winter conditions are prime territory for the fire breathing, crest jumping, beasts of rally. Last month already saw the Internationale Jännerrallye in Austria for the ERC, Rally Monte-Carlo for the WRC, and

Official Press Release:
Chris Greenhouse took the 2WD National win at Rallye Défi 2014 in St-Agathe-Des-Mont, QC, Canada on September 5-6. With codriver Billy Irvin calling the notes, the Cincinnati, Ohio, USA-based driver made a triumphant return to the winner’s circle at one of Canada’s toughest rallies. His Dodge Neon SRT4 escaped much of the heavy damage that adversely affected other competitors and carried him to victory.
“Strategy played an important part in this rally for us,” said Chris after the event. “We needed to run the first four stages with no services in between, and they were quite rough with a large number of both loose and embedded rocks. Without giving up too much in pace, it was imperative that we kept the car from taking mechanical damage and punctures to the tires. We returned to service with no significant damage and a commanding lead that allowed us to drive very conservatively on the later stages.”
After the heartbreak of mechanical failure while leading Baie-des-Chaleur in June, Chris was desperate for points at Defi. “This was a must-win event for us. We were too far behind in points to accept anything else. Now we are back in the hunt for the championship.”
The team will now pack up and head west to beautiful British Columbia for the Pacific Forest Rally in October. Chris would like to thank A1 CVTech, JayRacing.com, Silco Fire Protection, Maddog STS, KW Automotive, O’reilly Auto Parts of Milford, Ohio, and Tire and Lube Express of Milford, Ohio.
