It’s Mid-Ohio Weekend!!! Next to Indianapolis, the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course is my favourite track to visit. The IndyCar weekend is filled with activity and the circuit is never quite. We’re three quarters of the way through the SCCA Kansas City Region’s Solo season. Event 8 was held last Sunday at the usual venue, the Metropolitan Community College Precision Driving Center in Independence, MO. Today, we were reminded of the dangers and risks inherent in all forms of motorsport, even autocross, in the most heartbreaking way. The Texas Region of the SCCA was holding a Solo Event in one of the parking lots at the Texas Motor Speedway just north of Fort Worth, TX. Kierstin Eaddy, a 14 year-old girl racing her Formula Junior kart suffered a fatal accident after finishing one of her runs. This past weekend, the Kansas City and Kansas Regions of the SCCA held their first of three joint Solo Event weekends at Heartland Park Topeka.
