RALLY – Colin Clark’s WRC Australia Preview and “Bingle”

The Voice of Rally, Colin Clark entertains us along with fellow WRC Live Radio correspondent George Donaldson with a preview of this weekend’s Rally Australia.

In addition to the beautiful scenery and wildlife of Eastern Australia, Colin also got an up close and personal taste of the dangers these stages can produce.  In a guest ride with none other than 2013’s Rally America 2wd Champion, Brendan Reeves, Colin got a ride he’ll never forget.  After a big jump at high speed they go off the road and crash, or as they say in Australia “had a bit of a bingle” (which is apparently slang for crash in Australia).  I’m not sure how Colin hold’s back and his only swear word is “Sh#t.”  If it was me, I’m sure my language would have been much more colorful than that!  Thankfully both are okay, and the car will survive to fight it out over the weekend in the Australian National Championship taking place on the same stages as the WRC.  Brendan Reeves and sister Rhianon Gelsomino are currently tied for first place in their national championship.
