PR – Poor Boy Racing to push for Open Light podium at Rally America’s 100 Acre Wood Rally.

kevinFounded by James Dallman, Sally Dallman, Kevin Young, Brooke Young and Josh Tons in the spring of 2011, Poor Boy Racing has built a reputation for their high level of competition and generosity within the rally community. Poor Boy Racing continues to strive for friendly competition while working alongside other Saint Louis based rally teams, in order to help grow public awareness and love of the sport.

In March 2011, after years of volunteer involvement of various rallies across the country, it was time to step up in the world of competition. Team members sat down to discuss the possibility of building a car and competing in the Rally America regional series. Poor Boy racing has competed in numerous events across the US over the past 2 years and looks forward to the 2014 competition season.

2014 looks to be similar to previous years with a commitment to at least two events, Rally in the 100 acre wood and Perryville Farm and Forest Rally. As these are considered home events for the team, they are the two primary races in which the team will focus all effort towards. Depending sponsorship and financial aspects following the 100 acre wood event, the team has decided to investigate a potential trip to Lake Superior Performance rally later in the year; however no decision has been made.

Poor Boy Racing (PBR) is based in St. Louis, Missouri, and competes in Rally America’s Central Region Championship Series. Their competition rally car is a 1993 Subaru Impreza Wagon, powered by a naturally aspirated 2.5L engine. Poor Boy Racing is proudly sponsored by EcoTech Import Automotive Repair, Josh Tons Photography, OpenPaddock.net, S&S Automotive, Bylerly RV and Maestro Screen Printing & Digital.
