Final Round of the 2013 Canadian Rally Championship

November 23rd and 24th will bring the noise of turbo charged four wheel drive madness to the forests northeast of Toronto for the Rally of the Tall Pines.  This two day event consists of large jumps and high speeds that many compare to the famous stages in Finland.  The Tall Pines Rally is the final round of the Canadian Rally Championship and the last event in the North American Cup.

Antoine L’Estage and co-driver Natalie Richard already clinched the Canadian Rally Championship title at the previous Pacific Forest Rally when their closest competitor for the championship Crazy Leo Urlichich and co-driver Carl Williamson rolled their “Beast” 2007 Subaru WRX STi on the first stage of the event.  Four time Canadian Rally Champion Patrick Richard with co-driver Alan Ockwell are currently locked into 3rd in points after a disastrous 3 DNFs this season.

With the championship standings decided, expect the top drivers to not hold back and push to the absolute limit at Tall Pines.  Last year Crazy Leo won the event which was his first Canadian Rally Championship win of his career.  Will Leo repeat this year, or will Antoine and Natalie take a 4th win this year?  Don’t count out Pat Richard either, as his past experience should have him on pace to snatch the top spot barring any more mechanical difficulties.

You can follow all the Tall Pines Rally action this weekend via a new App  available for both iOS and Android devices.
