IndyLights – Jensen Motorsports Wins Firestone Image Award

Jensen Motorsports has had a tough 2011 in the Firestone Indy Lights Series. Their primary driver, Canadian David Ostella, has had the pace to bring home a quality finish for the team, but it seems that they’ve been caught out all too often by mechanical gremlins or just plain being at the wrong place at the wrong time and being taken out by a competitor as happened at Toronto. Their second driver, Oliver Webb, also promises to have good pace and the team should be in a position to score at least one top-5 in each of the two races remaining in the 2011 schedule, Kentucky and Las Vegas.

On track action isn’t the only aspect for a racing team. Now more than ever, a racing operation is as much a marketing platform as it is a competition platform. Jensen Motorsport has done an excellent job in bringing value to their sponsors through the great fan outreach programs they’ve hosted this year, especially during the Canadian swing of the Firestone Indy Lights schedule and during the Formula 1 Canadian Grand Prix weekend in Montreal. If you’ve ever been in the paddock area at any of the Firestone Indy Lights events this year, you’ll have noticed Jensen Motorsport’s sharp looking presence. They’ve been honored for that clean, professional appearance in the paddock several times throughout the year with the Firestone Image Award. Congratulations to Eric Jensen and his team on their award and a thank you for their outreach and support of the Firestone Indy Lights fans.
