Liza Markle, INDYCAR’s new Director of Fan Engagement, joins us for our third episode of Garage 36 where we bring you the news and happening of the INDYCAR Nation, The official fan club of the IZOD IndyCar Series, Firestone Indy Lights, and the Mazda Road to Indy. 2011 brings some significant changes and new personnel to the fan club formally known as Indy Downforce. For this up coming season, all members will enjoy exclusive access to news, videos, photos, and interviews throughout the season, as well as privileged access at the track to drivers and Q&A sessions. As previously with Indy Downforce, the paid membership will include opportinities to gain pre-race grid access credentials, pit passes, race tickets and more. All the things we loved about Downforce will still be there for us including the Pre-Race Parties at the track. I must say, that’s a huge relief for me, as the Pre-Race Parties are perhaps my favorite part of the fan club experience. Getting to meet old friends and make new ones at the races and have intimate meet and greet with the drivers was something that really hooked my wife and I on the fan club.
