F1 – 2010 Schedule Released

canadaThe FIA took the opportunity of the WMSC meeting with Renault to release the 2010 F1 calendar of events:

March 14 – Bahrain
March 28 – Australia
April 4 – Malaysia
April 18 – China
May 9 – Spain
May 23 – Monaco
May 30 – Turkey
June 13 – Canada*
June 27 – Europe (Valencia)
July 11 – Great Britain
July 25 – Germany
August 1 – Hungary
August 29 – Belgium
September 12 – Italy
September 26 – Singapore
October 3 – Japan
October 17 – Korea
October 31 – Abu Dhabi
November 14 – Brazil

* Subject to the completion of contract negotiations with Formula One Management. If these are not completed then the Turkish Grand Prix will be moved to 6 June.

Note: The race in Australia will start at 1700 local time, in Malaysia at 1600 local time, in Singapore at 2000 local time, and in Abu Dhabi at 1700 local time.

Of note is the return of the Canadian GP and the inclusion of Korea in the 2010 schedule.

Also worthy of mention is that the full calendar will be comprised of 19 events. More F1 = good! Add to that the potential of 28 cars on the grid.

But without the entertainment value of having Flavio involved, F1 may be in desperate need for some characters. I wonder if Paul Stoddard would consider running one of the new teams.
