Le Mans – Aston Martin’s Rough Start
What a difference a couple days makes. Aston Martin had just released a third car for Le Mans and a string of new drivers. The team then proceeded to Monza and it all changed on one straightaway. Jos Verstappen was piloting the LMP1 around the historic Monza race course when he lost control and crashed heavily into a nearby barricade. Rally – Gronholm Coming to America
However it is not the capacity that we were hoping. There will be no Rally America for Marcus, but Pikes Peak is another matter all together. Former WRC champion will be fitted into a brand new Ford Fiesta RS for the climb. The Fiesta is not due in the states for another year, but it is a hot little car that is bound to grab attention. Tomas wins at Texas in 2005 for Panther Dreyer and Reinbold Racing announced today that Tomas Scheckter will drive for them this weekend at Milwaukee. Initially their #23 entry was listed as TBA, indicating that Milka Duno would not be filling the seat this weekend. The Milwaukee Mile resumed its prime location a few years ago on the IndyCar schedule on the week following the Indy 500. Earlier today, an article by Robin Miller at SpeedTV.com was published that stated that Tony George had been ousted by a vote of the board comprised mainly of his family as CEO of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Later, they rephrased the title to “Transition at IMS” and added the speedway’s rebuttal to their article.
